stay still for a moment. can you hear your metabolic acoustics?

listen deeply. can you attune to the bowel sounds of the person next to you? if not, maybe they are holding out on us.
give them a gentle nudge or a knowing glance.

listen to the material textures of our gutspace: watery, howling, crisp, breathy, flickering, flowing, bubbling. this sonic richness is often ignored and stigmatised, left to swirl in silence. but tonight, this soundscape surrounds us, echoing from the outside in. as pauline oliveros said, ‘the more we listen, the more we learn to listen.’

take in the textures, flavours, shapes, colours, and smells of your meal. how do these sound to you? as they are driven by the physical movements and chemical breakdowns within your body, what sonic composition would they create?

share and participate in the experience. you’ll find chewy, textured cushions hanging in the space. press them gently to your belly, and let your inner bowel join this collective resonance.
